Winsham Community Speed-watch 2017

Help keep the roads of Winsham safe for everyone!

Winsham Parish Council is undertaking a 2017 Speed-watch in response to concerns raised by parishioners about the speed of traffic coming through the village. This initiative will be undertaken in conjunction with the Police and South Somerset Community Speed-watch, it aims to:

·        Help us address speeding problems in Winsham

·        Increase public awareness of the dangers of speeding

·        Provide help and advice to enable us to make Winsham roads safer

·        Promote and participate in specific road safety campaigns initiated by the police

We hope to involve and engage all sectors of the Winsham community. We need 12-15 volunteers, who will be trained by the police in the operation of the ‘speed gun’ & collation of vehicle details and will work initially in teams of three. If you are interested in taking part please give your name and address to - Trevor Harris at 24, Church Street, Winsham. Tel: 01460 30389, or email – By 31st of July 2017.
